Inspiration

Cynthia was raised as an "outdoor kid" in a small West Texas town that let her imagination run free as an aspiring young artist. Formal training came years later as she studied landscape design at the New York Botanical Garden, gaining design, drafting, perspective and compositional skills. Further classes at this highly regarded institution consisted of drawing, watercolor, color pencil and the detailed and specific art of botanical illustration. She is a juried member of Oil Painters of America.
